AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

The veterans who have served and dedicated their lives in the protection of the United States and the State of Texas should always be remembered. It seems appropriate to continuously observe and reflect upon the sacrifice of these men and women.

As proposed, S.B. 1940 amends current law relating to the designation of a portion of U.S. Highway 271 as the Veterans Memorial Highway.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
