A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to the placement on a ballot of a proposition to amend the |
|
|
state constitution. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 274, Election Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 274.004 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 274.004. PLACEMENT ON BALLOT. A proposition |
|
|
submitting a proposed constitutional amendment must be placed |
|
|
before all parties, offices, names, and other propositions on the |
|
|
ballot. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
