A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to training required to qualify for or renew a license |
|
|
issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 37.008, Water Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) For all training required to qualify for or renew a |
|
|
license, the commission must provide: |
|
|
(1) a location for the training within 100 miles of the |
|
|
place of employment of a person who is required to receive the |
|
|
training; |
|
|
(2) reimbursement for travel and lodging expenses |
|
|
incurred in attending training if training is not available at a |
|
|
location described by Subdivision (1); or |
|
|
(3) online training. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
