A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the protest of an application for certain alcoholic |
|
|
beverage permits. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Alcoholic Beverage |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 11.411 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 11.411. ANONYMOUS PROTEST OF CERTAIN PERMIT |
|
|
APPLICATIONS. A person, other than a local official acting under |
|
|
Section 11.41, may anonymously protest the application for a permit |
|
|
under Chapter 28 or 29. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to an application for a permit filed on or after the effective date |
|
|
of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
