A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the extension of the portion of U.S. Highway 290 |
|
|
designated as the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sections 225.0591(a) and (b), Transportation |
|
|
Code, are amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) [The part of] U.S. Highway 290 [in Harris County between
|
|
|
the Harris County boundary with Waller County and Interstate
|
|
|
Highway 610] is designated as the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway. |
|
|
The designation is in addition to any other designation. |
|
|
(b) The department shall design and construct [memorial] |
|
|
markers indicating the [highway number, the] designation as the |
|
|
Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway[,] and any other appropriate |
|
|
information. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
