A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for recipients |
|
|
of the Star of Texas Award. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 504.416 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 504.416. STAR OF TEXAS AWARD RECIPIENTS. The |
|
|
department shall issue specialty license plates for persons who are |
|
|
recipients of a Star of Texas Award under Chapter 3106, Government |
|
|
Code. The license plates must include the Star of Texas Award |
|
|
emblem and the words "Star of Texas." |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
