A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a limitation on the amount of certain licensing fees |
|
|
charged by state agencies. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 57, Occupations Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Section 57.003 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 57.003. FEES RELATED TO LICENSING. Notwithstanding |
|
|
any other law, a state agency may not increase the amount of a fee |
|
|
established on or before January 1, 2017, for the issuance or |
|
|
renewal of a license issued by the agency, to an amount greater than |
|
|
the amount of that fee on January 1, 2017. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
