A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to comprehensive development agreement authority of the |
|
|
Texas Department of Transportation for the Interstate Highway 35 |
|
|
Northeast Expansion project. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 223.201, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (f-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f-1) The department may enter into a comprehensive |
|
|
development agreement for the Interstate Highway 35 Northeast |
|
|
Expansion project from Loop 410 South in Bexar County to |
|
|
Farm-to-Market Road 1103 in Comal County. This subsection expires |
|
|
August 31, 2021. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
