A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

|
relating to the creation of additional judicial districts in Harris |
|
|
County. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Sections 24.600 and 24.6001 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 24.600. 456TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The |
|
|
456th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. |
|
|
Sec. 24.6001. 457TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The |
|
|
457th Judicial District is composed of Harris County. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The 456th and 457th Judicial Districts are |
|
|
created on the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
