A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a client's access to certain records of hearing |
|
|
instrument fitters and dispensers. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 402.154, Occupations Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (h-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(h-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (h), the department on |
|
|
request shall provide a copy of a license holder's records obtained |
|
|
by the department as described by Subsection (h) to a person who is |
|
|
or was a client of the license holder if the records pertain to that |
|
|
person and the person is or was involved in a complaint against the |
|
|
license holder. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
