A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to annual testing of certain child-care facility employees |
|
|
for tuberculosis. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 42, Human Resources Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 42.04306 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 42.04306. TUBERCULOSIS SCREENING FOR CHILD-CARE |
|
|
FACILITY EMPLOYEES. The department shall require each child-care |
|
|
facility employee who provides services to at least one child under |
|
|
four years of age to annually undergo a screening test for |
|
|
tuberculosis. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
