A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to entry onto property to survey for a high-speed rail |
|
|
facility. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 112.051, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) This section does not apply to a private entity |
|
|
operating or developing passenger rail service: |
|
|
(1) between a municipality with a population of more |
|
|
than 1.19 million and less than 1.3 million and a municipality with |
|
|
a population of 1.9 million or more; and |
|
|
(2) capable of operating at speeds greater than 120 |
|
|
miles per hour. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
