A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to a public defender's investigation into a defendant's finances.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Article 26.044(l), Code of Criminal Procedure, is repealed.

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
