A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to funding commitments for approval of certain bridges |
|
|
over the Rio Grande. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 201.612, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (h) to read as follows: |
|
|
(h) The commission may not approve construction of a bridge |
|
|
by a political subdivision unless appropriate jurisdictions of the |
|
|
United Mexican States commit to providing at least half the funding |
|
|
for planning, design, and construction of the bridge. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
