A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the compensation provided to the governing body of certain special districts.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Section 775.038, Health and Safety Code, is amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:

(a-1) A commissioner of a district is entitled to receive compensation in the same manner and amount as are provided by Section 49.060, Water Code.

SECTION 2. Sections 775.038(a), (b), and (c), Health and Safety Code, are repealed.

SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
