A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to information contained in a protest of an application |
|
|
for an alcoholic beverage permit. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 11.393, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) The description of the procedure required by Subsection |
|
|
(e)(5) must state that personal information provided in the protest |
|
|
of an application for a permit under this subtitle is subject to |
|
|
public information laws. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Alcoholic Beverage |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 11.394 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 11.394. PROTEST FORMS. Any form used by the commission |
|
|
to register the protest of an application for a permit issued under |
|
|
this subtitle must state that personal information provided in the |
|
|
protest is subject to public information laws. |
|
|
SECTION 3. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to an application for a permit filed on or after the effective date |
|
|
of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
