A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of electronic payment methods for parking |
|
|
meters in the Capitol Complex. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 443.015, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c-1) A parking meter installed under this section must |
|
|
accept electronic payment methods, including payments made with a |
|
|
credit or debit card, for payment of a parking fee collected through |
|
|
the parking meter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
