A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the exception under the public information law for |
|
|
certain information held by a school district. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 552.135, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d-1) Except as provided by Subsection (e) and Section |
|
|
552.108, information excepted under Subsection (b) shall be made |
|
|
available to an employee or former employee who is the subject of a |
|
|
report made by an informer if the report is used as the basis for the |
|
|
evaluation of or a disciplinary action against the employee or |
|
|
former employee. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
