A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to regulation by the Texas Transportation Commission of |
|
|
the height of certain outdoor advertising. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 391, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 391.038 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 391.038. COMMISSION HEIGHT REGULATIONS PROHIBITED IN |
|
|
MUNICIPALITY. The commission may not regulate the height of |
|
|
outdoor advertising located in the corporate boundaries or |
|
|
extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
