A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to an appropriation of money from the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund to provide certain therapy services under the |
|
|
Medicaid program to children with disabilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. In addition to other amounts appropriated for |
|
|
the purpose, the amount of $150 million is appropriated from the |
|
|
economic stabilization fund to the Health and Human Services |
|
|
Commission for the purpose of providing speech, physical, and |
|
|
occupational therapy services under the Medicaid program to |
|
|
children with disabilities during the state fiscal biennium |
|
|
beginning September 1, 2017. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017, but only |
|
|
if it receives a vote of two-thirds of the members present in each |
|
|
house of the legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), Article |
|
|
III, Texas Constitution. |
