A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the applicability of Texas Commission on Environmental |
|
|
Quality rules relating to recycling facilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 361.119, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) Rules adopted under Subsection (f) must require |
|
|
financial assurance in an amount not less than $25,000 and must |
|
|
apply to recycling facilities regardless of whether the facility |
|
|
receives financial compensation for the acceptance of recyclable |
|
|
material. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
