CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Section 7-c(d), Article VIII, Texas Constitution, |
|
|
provides: "The legislature by adoption of a resolution approved by |
|
|
a record vote of two-thirds of the members of each house of the |
|
|
legislature may direct the comptroller of public accounts to reduce |
|
|
the amount of money deposited to the credit of the state highway |
|
|
fund under Subsection (a) or (b) of this section."; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED by the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas, That, |
|
|
for the state fiscal year beginning September 1, 2017, the |
|
|
comptroller of public accounts reduce the amount of money that |
|
|
would otherwise be deposited in that state fiscal year to the credit |
|
|
of the state highway fund under Section 7-c(a), Article VIII, Texas |
|
|
Constitution, by 50 percent; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That, for the state fiscal year beginning September |
|
|
1, 2018, the comptroller of public accounts reduce the amount of |
|
|
money that would otherwise be deposited in that state fiscal year to |
|
|
the credit of the state highway fund under Section 7-c(a), Article |
|
|
VIII, Texas Constitution, by 50 percent; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That this resolution is adopted only if approved by |
|
|
a record vote of two-thirds of the members of each house of the |
|
|
legislature; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the secretary of state forward an official |
|
|
copy of this resolution to the comptroller of public accounts. |
