R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The untimely death of Tyler Barnes Foster of Era on
  January 12, 2017, at the age of 27, is a heartbreaking loss to the
  family and friends of this remarkable young man; and
         WHEREAS, Born on November 9, 1989, to Thomas Wayne and
  Valerie Ann Bowles Foster, Tyler Foster grew up with the
  companionship of an older sister, Sara; he fell in love with flying
  at a young age, and he had already earned his pilot wings by the time
  he graduated from Sanger High School in 2008; he took his first job
  at Tomlinson Avionics of Texas, flying his own plane to work after
  school each day, and he went on to develop his knowledge of the
  mechanics trade with jobs at NAPA Auto Parts, Nortex Cycles,
  O'Reilly Auto Parts, Bulloch Manufacturing, and Corple Corral; and
         WHEREAS, After his graduation, Mr. Foster set his sights on a
  career as a commercial airline pilot; while pursuing undergraduate
  studies at North Central Texas College, he obtained additional
  flight certifications at ATP Flight School in Phoenix and
  Scottsdale, Arizona; he subsequently worked at US Aviation as a
  test pilot, before being hired by SkyWest Airlines in Denver, where
  he flew regional jets as a first officer; he had recently completed
  the National Homeland Security Federal Flight Deck Officer
  certification program, during which he received a medal for the Top
  Marksmanship Award; and
         WHEREAS, While the sudden loss of such a promising young man
  brings immeasurable sorrow to many, Tyler Foster set an example of
  passion, drive, and commitment to his dreams that will forever
  inspire all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Tyler Barnes Foster
  and extend deepest condolences to the members of his family: to his
  parents, Thomas Wayne Foster and Valerie Ann Bowles Foster; to his
  sister, Sara Nichole Foster; to his grandmother, Lois Bowles; to
  his uncles, Lewis, Robert, and John Foster and Mike Bowles; to his
  aunts, Kim Beller and Lauren Weliver; and to his other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tyler
  Foster.
