R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Clifton and Ann
  Notgrass celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
  August 30, 2016; and
         WHEREAS, Cliff Notgrass and the former Ann Vyvial were joined
  in matrimony in 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Channelview;
  over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that
  includes their four children and their children's spouses, Ned and
  Lorene Notgrass, Bob Notgrass, Drs. David and Patty Notgrass, and
  Sheila and Rick Higgs, as well as five grandchildren and five
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Valued members of their community, the couple are
  both currently retired after years of dedicated service in their
  respective careers; Mr. Notgrass was an employee of the United
  States Postal Service, and Mrs. Notgrass worked for Texas State
  Technical College; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Notgrass have enjoyed six and a half
  decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they are
  among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a
  lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Clifton and Ann Notgrass on their
  65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
