R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Clifton and Ann |
|
|
Notgrass celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |
|
|
August 30, 2016; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cliff Notgrass and the former Ann Vyvial were joined |
|
|
in matrimony in 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Channelview; |
|
|
over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|
|
includes their four children and their children's spouses, Ned and |
|
|
Lorene Notgrass, Bob Notgrass, Drs. David and Patty Notgrass, and |
|
|
Sheila and Rick Higgs, as well as five grandchildren and five |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Valued members of their community, the couple are |
|
|
both currently retired after years of dedicated service in their |
|
|
respective careers; Mr. Notgrass was an employee of the United |
|
|
States Postal Service, and Mrs. Notgrass worked for Texas State |
|
|
Technical College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Notgrass have enjoyed six and a half |
|
|
decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they are |
|
|
among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a |
|
|
lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Clifton and Ann Notgrass on their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
