R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Economics Research Team of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo |
|
|
North Early College High School earned second place at the Business |
|
|
Professionals of America Regional Leadership Competition on |
|
|
January 13, 2017, at South Texas College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Business Professionals of America is a cocurricular |
|
|
organization that prepares students across the country for the |
|
|
professional arena by providing them with opportunities to practice |
|
|
leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For their outstanding showing at the regional |
|
|
contest, PSJA team members Angel Piña, Jonathan Garza, and Aylin |
|
|
Grimaldo will advance to the state-level competition, which will |
|
|
take place March 1-4, 2017, in Dallas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each of these exemplary students has demonstrated |
|
|
great initiative and ability, and they are indeed deserving of |
|
|
recognition for this outstanding achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Economics Research Team of PSJA |
|
|
North Early College High School on winning second place at the |
|
|
Business Professionals of America Regional Leadership Competition |
|
|
and extend to its members sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
