R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, James and Anne Weatherill of Corpus Christi |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 20, 2016, and |
|
|
they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they |
|
|
have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1966, Mr. and |
|
|
Mrs. Weatherill exchanged the vows of matrimony at Our Lady of |
|
|
Perpetual Help Church in Riverside, California, and over the course |
|
|
of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life |
|
|
partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Weatherill count among their blessings |
|
|
a fine family that includes their two daughters and two grandsons, |
|
|
with whom they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Anne Weatherill have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Anne Weatherill on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Weatherill as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
