R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of John Ray Baldree of Corpus Christi on January 13, 2017,
  at the age of 68; and
         WHEREAS, John Baldree was born in Corpus Christi to Jim and
  Juanita Baldree on October 2, 1948; a successful businessman and
  entrepreneur, he founded a construction firm, Progressive
  Structures, in 1980 and led the company for 36 years; Mr. Baldree
  was a proud member of Associated Builders and Contractors for over
  three decades and served multiple times as a board member, as well
  as four terms as president; he was also a longtime member of the
  Corpus Christi Executives Association, and he was involved in
  numerous civic and volunteer activities; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Baldree was blessed with
  the love and support of his best friend and wife of 34 years, Ann
  Marie; they raised five children, Kevin, Craig, Scott, Justin, and
  Rachel, and over the years, their family continued to grow with the
  addition of nine grandchildren; Mr. Baldree enjoyed traveling
  around the world with his wife and was also an avid golfer in his
  leisure time; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his family and his community,
  John Baldree gave generously of himself and will long be remembered
  with respect and admiration by all who were privileged to know him;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of John Ray Baldree and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Ann Baldree; to his children, Kevin Baldree and his wife, Angel,
  Craig Baldree and his wife, Anna Lisa, Scott Baldree and his wife,
  Josie, Justin Baldree, and Rachel Baldree; to his grandchildren,
  Mackenzie, Madelyn, Mindy, Cheyanne, Emma, Caroline, Lucas, Alex,
  and Max; to his sisters, Sherry Raymer-Crow, Deborah Lontos, and
  Connie Jacobs; to his mother-in-law, Rosemary Britt; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of John Ray
  Baldree.
