R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gene Buckner ably served as Real County commissioner |
|
|
for Precinct 3 for eight years, and his efforts and dedication in |
|
|
public office are indeed deserving of recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, First sworn in as a commissioner in 2009, |
|
|
Mr. Buckner demonstrated a deep concern for his community as he |
|
|
worked tirelessly to address the needs of his fellow citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An alumnus of Texas State University, this esteemed |
|
|
Texan studied agricultural business and management, and today he |
|
|
runs a ranch as well as another business enterprise, Camp Wood Self |
|
|
Storage; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During his tenure on the commissioners court, Gene |
|
|
Buckner continually sought to advance the well-being of Real County |
|
|
residents, and he may indeed take pride in all he accomplished; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Gene Buckner for his committed public |
|
|
service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Buckner as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
