R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Jim Wilson retired as the Real County constable for
  Precincts 1, 2, and 5 on December 31, 2016, drawing to a close a
  notable tenure in that office; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime county resident who first moved to the
  Leakey area in 1981, Mr. Wilson distinguished himself during the
  nine years that he served as constable; this experienced law
  enforcement professional was previously employed by the Texas Parks
  and Wildlife Department for more than 27 years before retiring; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Sul Ross State
  University and holds certification as a master peace officer; he
  completed over 6,000 hours of advanced training and worked side by
  side with local, state, and federal agencies for his entire career;
  and
         WHEREAS, Retirement will afford Mr. Wilson the opportunity
  to spend more time with his family, which includes his wife, Sheryl,
  and their children, Jimmy, Jamie, Whitney, and Maxwell, and
  grandchildren, Tri, Autumn, Sutton, Saxon, and Adilan; and
         WHEREAS, Jim Wilson's deep commitment to public service has
  contributed immensely to the safety and well-being of the citizens
  of Real County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well
  done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jim Wilson on his retirement as a
  Real County constable and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
