R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Robert Grimes is concluding his tenure as Bandera
  County commissioner for Precinct 1 in 2016, having served in the
  post with distinction for the past four years; and
         WHEREAS, Since assuming office on January 1, 2013, Mr. Grimes
  has devoted himself to addressing the needs of Bandera County
  residents; he has been a strong proponent of economic growth in the
  area, which has led to the creation of a county tax abatement
  program as a tool to attract new businesses to the community; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan holds a bachelor's degree in
  business administration and a master's degree in health care
  administration, both from Trinity University; a leader in the
  health care industry, Mr. Grimes has cofounded and led a
  Texas-based, long-term care corporation and served as vice
  president of two national health care corporations; he is a
  Lifetime Fellow of the American College of Health Care
  Administrators; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to balancing his work on the
  commissioners court with his other professional responsibilities,
  Mr. Grimes makes time for civic involvement; he previously served
  on the board of directors of the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic in
  Bandera for five years, and he currently sits on the Leadership
  Advisory Board of the Bandera County 4-H; along the way, he has
  enjoyed the support of his wife and partner of 35 years, Jan; and
         WHEREAS, During his tenure on the commissioners court, Bob
  Grimes has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the county he
  calls home, and his contributions will continue to benefit his
  fellow residents for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Bob Grimes on his exemplary service to
  Bandera County and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Grimes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
