R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Stanley Toeppich retired as the Mason County
  Commissioner for Precinct 3 on December 31, 2016, drawing to a close
  more than a decade and a half of outstanding service; and
         WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Mason, Mr. Toeppich served
  his nation as a corporal in the U.S. Army, stationed in the Panama
  Canal Zone; he earned an agriculture degree at Texas A&M University
  in 1959, and he began his career as an agriculture teacher in San
  Saba; in 1964, he embarked on a 26-year tenure with the USDA Soil
  Conservation Service, and throughout his working life, he has also
  operated a ranch in Mason County; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Toeppich was first elected to the Mason County
  Commissioners Court in January 2001, and over the past 16 years, he
  has served his fellow citizens with dedication; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Toeppich has enjoyed the
  love and support of his wife, Carolyn, as well as that of his three
  children, and he takes great pride in his three grandchildren and
  three great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Stanley Toeppich's professionalism and commitment
  to public service have greatly benefited the people of Mason
  County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent
  as he looks forward to the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Stanley Toeppich on his retirement
  from the Mason County Commissioners Court and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Toeppich as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
