R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Pete Jaramillo was named Man of the Year by the |
|
|
Progress Times and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce at the |
|
|
annual Citizens Awards banquet in October 2016; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the Mission chamber and the Progress |
|
|
Times recognize outstanding citizens for their efforts to benefit |
|
|
the local community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life as owner of Pete |
|
|
Jaramillo Insurance Services, Mr. Jaramillo has given generously |
|
|
of his time and talents to many worthwhile local organizations; he |
|
|
serves as president of the South Texas Association of Health |
|
|
Underwriters, and he has been a member of the boards of Leadership |
|
|
Mission and the Mission Historical Museum, with his membership on |
|
|
the museum board including his recent position as board chair; he |
|
|
has also been active with the Mission Economic Development |
|
|
Corporation, and he is a valued congregant of San Cristóbal |
|
|
Magallanes y Compañeros Mártires Catholic Church, where he further |
|
|
serves on the finance committee and several fund-raising campaigns; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his exceptional contributions, Pete |
|
|
Jaramillo has helped make Mission an even better place in which to |
|
|
live and work, and he is indeed deserving of this notable honor; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Pete Jaramillo on his selection as |
|
|
the 2016 Man of the Year by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce |
|
|
and the Progress Times and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Jaramillo as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
