R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Gloria Thomas retired from the Doris Miller |
|
Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Waco after four |
|
decades of exemplary service; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Waco, Ms. Thomas graduated with honors |
|
from Carver High School in 1969 and went on to earn a degree in |
|
nursing from Texas Woman's University; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure with the medical center, |
|
Gloria Thomas provided her patients with the highest level of care, |
|
service, and compassion, and her consummate leadership earned her |
|
the deep respect and admiration of her peers; and |
|
WHEREAS, Gloria Thomas has greatly benefited generations of |
|
veterans across Central Texas through her dedication and |
|
professionalism, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career |
|
well spent as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gloria Thomas on her retirement |
|
from the Doris Miller Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center |
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Thomas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
