R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Darleene Joy Warren of Galveston on January 26, 2017, at
  the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, The former "Dolly" Feinberg was born to George and
  Frances Feinberg on March 27, 1941; this esteemed Texan found a
  loving life partner in her husband, Dr. Michael Warren, and she
  took great pride in her three children, Debbie, Robert, and Leslie,
  as well as her four grandchildren, Sophia, Daniel, Julia, and
  Payton; and
         WHEREAS, A dedicated civic leader, Mrs. Warren founded
  D'feet Breast Cancer, a nonprofit organization that has provided
  more than 10,000 mammograms to uninsured and underserved women in
  Galveston County; she was also highly active at The University of
  Texas Medical Branch, where she restarted the Faculty Women's Club
  and served as president of the Hospital Auxiliary, as an adviser to
  Medical Dames, and as a member of the School of Nursing Advisory
  Board; and
         WHEREAS, Other organizations to benefit from her involvement
  were the Friends of Moody Gardens, the Galveston Historical
  Foundation Homes Tour, and the Hospice Care Team; she was president
  of the Temple B'nai Israel Sisterhood and sat on the temple's board
  of directors, and she volunteered as a docent at the Moody Mansion;
  in her spare time, she became a bridge life master and taught the
  game to students in La Marque and Galveston; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family and her community,
  Dolly Warren made a meaningful difference in the lives of her loved
  ones and fellow citizens alike, and her contributions will be
  fondly remembered for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Darleene Joy Warren
  and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dolly
  Warren.
