R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jeannene Bryant concluded an outstanding tenure as |
|
|
the proprietor of Margie's Flower and Gift Shop in Lamesa in January |
|
|
2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Opened in 1965, the business was purchased by |
|
|
Ms. Bryant and her husband, Don, on May 1, 1989; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Though they intended to run the enterprise together, |
|
|
Mr. Bryant was hired by Caprock Federal Credit Union soon after the |
|
|
couple acquired the shop; Ms. Bryant went on to oversee daily |
|
|
operations for more than a quarter century, brightening many days |
|
|
with floral arrangements lovingly crafted for a host of special |
|
|
occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By helping her customers commemorate important |
|
|
milestones, Jeannene Bryant has provided a great service to the |
|
|
Lamesa community, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her many |
|
|
accomplishments as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her |
|
|
life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Jeannene Bryant for her nearly 27 years as |
|
|
the proprietor of Margie's Flower and Gift Shop and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bryant as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
