R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The education of our children is vital to the future |
|
of the Lone Star State, and Amy Pruitt, a first-grade teacher for |
|
the Hutto Independent School District, is one of the many |
|
outstanding educators who play an integral role in this important |
|
endeavor; and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Columbia International University, |
|
Ms. Pruitt has dedicated 17 years to teaching at the kindergarten, |
|
first- and second-grade levels; before joining the faculty at Hutto |
|
ISD, she worked in North Carolina, for the Leander Independent |
|
School District, and at Gateway Charter School; and |
|
WHEREAS, For the past six years, Ms. Pruitt has taught Hutto |
|
first graders, and she also serves as a grade-level coach; her |
|
exceptional work earned her the title of Teacher of the Year for the |
|
2010-2011 academic year; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Pruitt has enjoyed the |
|
love and support of her husband, Bobby, and her three children, |
|
Riley, Beau, and Emma Grace; and |
|
WHEREAS, Amy Pruitt exemplifies the dedication, enthusiasm, |
|
and spirit of service that are the hallmarks of a great teacher, and |
|
she is indeed an inspiration to her students and fellow educators |
|
alike; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature commend Amy Pruitt of the Hutto Independent School |
|
District for her commitment to educating future generations of |
|
Texans; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for |
|
Ms. Pruitt as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of |
|
Representatives. |
