R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The education of our children is vital to the future
  of the Lone Star State, and Amy Pruitt, a first-grade teacher for
  the Hutto Independent School District, is one of the many
  outstanding educators who play an integral role in this important
  endeavor; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Columbia International University,
  Ms. Pruitt has dedicated 17 years to teaching at the kindergarten,
  first- and second-grade levels; before joining the faculty at Hutto
  ISD, she worked in North Carolina, for the Leander Independent
  School District, and at Gateway Charter School; and
         WHEREAS, For the past six years, Ms. Pruitt has taught Hutto
  first graders, and she also serves as a grade-level coach; her
  exceptional work earned her the title of Teacher of the Year for the
  2010-2011 academic year; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Pruitt has enjoyed the
  love and support of her husband, Bobby, and her three children,
  Riley, Beau, and Emma Grace; and
         WHEREAS, Amy Pruitt exemplifies the dedication, enthusiasm,
  and spirit of service that are the hallmarks of a great teacher, and
  she is indeed an inspiration to her students and fellow educators
  alike; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature commend Amy Pruitt of the Hutto Independent School
  District for her commitment to educating future generations of
  Texans; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for
  Ms. Pruitt as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
  Representatives.
