R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Skip and Paulette |
|
|
Hunter of Waco celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage |
|
|
on January 3, 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter were joined in matrimony on that |
|
|
memorable day in 1967; over the years, they have been blessed with a |
|
|
treasured family that includes their two sons, Lance and Allen and |
|
|
his wife, Jerri, as well as their grandchildren, Robin, Rachel, |
|
|
Jonathan, Aaron, and Austin, and great-granddaughter, Emery; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mrs. Hunter is |
|
|
retired from the Waco Center for Youth and Mr. Hunter worked for the |
|
|
MKT/Union Pacific Railroad for 41 years; the couple count |
|
|
traveling, antiquing, and spending time with family among their |
|
|
favorite pastimes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Skip and Paulette Hunter on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
