R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, June Davenport was presented with a Proud You're a |
|
|
Picker Award by the Robstown Independent School District in January |
|
|
2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This accolade is given to district employees who |
|
|
have gone above and beyond their usual responsibilities in order to |
|
|
help a student, parent, volunteer, community member, or colleague; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A librarian at San Pedro Elementary School, June |
|
|
Davenport has been employed with Robstown ISD for 30 years; |
|
|
passionate about her work, she has earned the admiration of her |
|
|
colleagues for her commitment to helping young people acquire a |
|
|
love of reading, and she routinely goes out of her way during her |
|
|
off-duty hours to collect books for the students at her school; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give generously of their time |
|
|
and talents strengthen the organizations in which they work, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to recognize this dedicated professional for her |
|
|
contributions to Robstown ISD; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate June Davenport on her receipt of a |
|
|
Proud You're a Picker Award from the Robstown Independent School |
|
|
District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Davenport as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
