H.R. No. 729

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with the
	passing of Pedro M. Valdez Jr. of San Antonio on May 11, 2016, at the
	age of 58; and
	WHEREAS, Born on March 28, 1958, Pedro Valdez was a skilled
	carpenter who was passionate about his craft; he shared 35 years of
	marriage with his beloved wife, Irene, and over the years, he took
	great pride in watching their family grow to include five sons,
	Pedro Valdez III, and Pedro Steven, Mark Anthony, Christopher
	Michael, and Miquel Raphael Valdez, two daughters, Stephanie Valdez
	and Elizabeth Belle Hinojosa, and seven grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A devoted father, Mr. Valdez was always available to
	offer support and encouragement to his children in all of their
	endeavors; as his sons grew up, he spent countless hours coaching
	them in football, and he also volunteered with them in Boy Scouts;
	and
	WHEREAS, Pedro Valdez was admired by friends, neighbors, and
	peers for his willingness to help out in moments of need, and
	although he will be deeply missed, his loved ones may find comfort
	in remembering the wonderful times that they shared with him and the
	kindness and generosity with which he lived; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Pedro M. Valdez Jr.
	and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be
	it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Pedro
	Valdez.
