R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Pedro M. Valdez Jr. of San Antonio on May 11, 2016, at the |
|
age of 58; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on March 28, 1958, Pedro Valdez was a skilled |
|
carpenter who was passionate about his craft; he shared 35 years of |
|
marriage with his beloved wife, Irene, and over the years, he took |
|
great pride in watching their family grow to include five sons, |
|
Pedro Valdez III, and Pedro Steven, Mark Anthony, Christopher |
|
Michael, and Miquel Raphael Valdez, two daughters, Stephanie Valdez |
|
and Elizabeth Belle Hinojosa, and seven grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted father, Mr. Valdez was always available to |
|
offer support and encouragement to his children in all of their |
|
endeavors; as his sons grew up, he spent countless hours coaching |
|
them in football, and he also volunteered with them in Boy Scouts; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Pedro Valdez was admired by friends, neighbors, and |
|
peers for his willingness to help out in moments of need, and |
|
although he will be deeply missed, his loved ones may find comfort |
|
in remembering the wonderful times that they shared with him and the |
|
kindness and generosity with which he lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Pedro M. Valdez Jr. |
|
and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Pedro |
|
Valdez. |
