R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of William
  Talbot Henard of Wellington, who died on January 23, 2017, at the
  age of 62; and
         WHEREAS, Billy Henard was born in Wellington on July 11,
  1954, to Samuel Edward and Willie Faye Talbot Henard, and he grew up
  with a sister, Gail, and a brother, Jim; after graduating from
  Wellington High School in 1972, he attended the University of Tulsa
  on a football scholarship and went on to study at Texas Tech
  University; and
         WHEREAS, Married in 1982, Mr. Henard and his wife, Debbie,
  shared many happy years together, until his death just six days
  short of their 35th wedding anniversary; he was the proud father of
  three daughters, Sharon, Kimi, and Robin, and he later welcomed
  into his family two sons-in-law, Joel and Jared, as well as six
  grandchildren, Kenny, Brooke, Walker, Maci, Coyt, and Colt; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Henard enjoyed a career as a rancher and cattle
  buyer, and, he helped run the family sale barn, the Wellington
  Livestock Commission, for many years; in his leisure time, he
  enjoyed spending time reading, hunting, fishing, and relaxing with
  his family at the boathouse; he was a valued congregant of First
  United Methodist Church, and he was also a member of the Texas
  Cattle Feeders Association, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle
  Raisers Association, and the VFW Auxiliary; and
         WHEREAS, Billy Henard lived a rich and purposeful life, and
  although he will be deeply missed, those who were privileged to
  share in his love and affection will forever hold him close in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of William Talbot
  Henard and extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Billy
  Henard.
