R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of James Murray Hoult of Tarrant County on November 6, 2016,
  at the age of 67; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Jean Massie and James Herbert Hoult,
  Murray Hoult was born on December 31, 1948, in Toronto, Canada, and
  raised in Torrance, California; he enlisted in the United States
  Air Force in 1969, and while stationed in Sacramento, he met his
  future wife, Cindy, with whom he went on to share more than 45 years
  of marriage; in 1983, the couple were blessed with a beloved son,
  Jimmy, and they later welcomed into their family two precious
  grandchildren, Caroline and William; and
         WHEREAS, After serving his country for four years, Mr. Hoult
  was granted American citizenship, an accomplishment in which he
  took great pride; he devoted a total of 35 years to the air force as
  both an active member and reservist, and he was deployed numerous
  times; along the way, he attained the highest noncommissioned
  officer rank of chief master sergeant and was honored as Reservist
  of the Year in 2001 at a ceremony held at the Pentagon; in addition
  to pursuing a career in the military, he worked as a civilian for
  the Department of Defense for 32 years, retiring as a chief
  contracting officer; and
         WHEREAS, With the free time that retirement afforded him,
  Mr. Hoult enjoyed taking cruises and other vacations with his wife
  and their longtime friends; he took pleasure in golfing, and he also
  stayed active by working on projects around the house, which
  included building a doll crib and a workbench for the family's
  youngest members; and
         WHEREAS, Murray Hoult achieved a life that was rich in
  family, friends, and meaningful achievements, and although he is
  deeply missed, he leaves behind a wealth of memories that will
  forever be cherished by all those who held him dear; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Murray Hoult and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Cindy Hoult; to his son, Jimmy Hoult; to his grandchildren,
  Caroline and William; to his sister, Lynda DeHaan; to his brother,
  Scott Barber; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Murray
  Hoult.
