R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the San Antonio community gathered |
|
|
together at a fund-raiser on February 26, 2017, to support Brandie |
|
|
Marie DeSantiago in her battle against cancer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, More than 200 individuals came out to express their |
|
|
solidarity with Ms. DeSantiago at the Benefit for Brandie, which |
|
|
was organized to help offset the cost of her medical expenses and |
|
|
featured a lineup of notable Tejano bands and musicians; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her treatment, Ms. DeSantiago has drawn |
|
|
strength from the love and encouragement of her husband, Frank, and |
|
|
their three children, Garrett, Colton, and Justin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The outpouring of support Brandie DeSantiago has |
|
|
received is a testament to the special place she holds in her |
|
|
community, and her courage, grace, and optimism continue to inspire |
|
|
all who have the privilege to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Brandie Marie DeSantiago and extend to her |
|
|
heartfelt best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. DeSantiago as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
