R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the untimely loss of
  Steven Paul Fleming of Vernon, who passed away on February 15, 2017,
  at the age of 42; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Paul and Sandy Fleming, Steve Fleming was
  born in San Antonio on December 1, 1974; he graduated with a
  bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Angelo State University and
  went on to earn a master's degree in education from Sul Ross State
  University; and
         WHEREAS, An admired educator, Mr. Fleming formerly served as
  an athletic trainer with the Wylie and Vernon Independent School
  Districts; he took on the role of assistant principal for Iowa Park
  CISD and Vernon ISD, and he ably guided a number of schools as a
  principal in the Olney and Vernon districts; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Fleming enjoyed the
  love and support of his wife, Malinda, whom he married in 1998, and
  he was the proud father of three children, Alli, Austen, and Case;
  strong in his faith, he was a valued congregant of Calvary Baptist
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, Although Steve Fleming will be deeply missed,
  memories of his kindness, his optimism, and his devotion to his
  family and his students remain to comfort and inspire those he
  leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Steven Paul Fleming
  and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Malinda Fleming; to his children, Alli, Austen, and Case
  Fleming; to his parents, Paul and Sandy Fleming; to his brother, Jim
  Fleming, and his wife, Chere; to his sister, Debbie Dickerson, and
  her husband, Wayne; and to his many other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Steve
  Fleming.
