R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Juan Sebastian Garzon was one of five Texas A&M
  University--Corpus Christi employees who were named 2016 40 Under
  40 honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40; and
         WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 recognizes 40 men and women under
  the age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the
  Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community
  endeavors; and
         WHEREAS, An alumnus of TAMU-CC, where he graduated with a
  bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in business
  administration, Sebastian Garzon currently works on the college's
  staff as a program manager for the Coastal Bend Business Innovation
  Center; in that position, he is responsible for counseling clients
  on business-related matters, helping companies obtain needed
  resources, and overseeing budgets and other financial, facility
  management, and marketing efforts; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Garzon has further distinguished himself as
  vice president of marketing for PorColombia National, the largest
  network in North America of college students and professionals with
  a Colombian background, and as a member of the board of the World
  Affairs Council of South Texas, a champion of the United Corpus
  Christi Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Young Business
  Professionals of the Coastal Bend; and
         WHEREAS, Sebastian Garzon has set an outstanding example of
  professional achievement and civic engagement, and he may take
  justifiable pride in his contributions to the Coastal Bend
  community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Juan Sebastian Garzon on his
  selection as a 2016 Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued success in his important
  work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Garzon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
