R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Rosana Vanessa Gomez Pachon was one of five Texas |
|
|
A&M University--Corpus Christi employees who were named 2016 40 |
|
|
Under 40 honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 recognizes 40 men and women under |
|
|
the age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the |
|
|
Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community |
|
|
endeavors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of TAMU--CC's MBA program, Ms. Gomez |
|
|
currently works for the university's Coastal Bend Business |
|
|
Innovation Center; she previously served as a Port Corpus Christi |
|
|
business coordinator for Latin America, and she organized the first |
|
|
Latin American Petroleum and Energy Summit, which was attended by |
|
|
over 50 international companies; active in the community, she is |
|
|
involved with the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, and |
|
|
she serves on the board for the World Affairs Council of South |
|
|
Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Rosana Gomez has set an outstanding example of |
|
|
professional achievement and civic engagement, and she may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in her contributions to the Coastal Bend |
|
|
community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rosana Vanessa Gomez Pachon on her |
|
|
selection as a 2016 Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success in her important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Gomez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
