R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A loving family and a host of devoted friends will
  forever cherish their memories of Landon Joseph Russell of
  Beaumont, who passed away on June 26, 2015, at the age of 20; and
         WHEREAS, Born on January 8, 1995, in Springdale, Arkansas,
  Landon Russell was the son of Tara Latil and George E. Russell Jr.;
  he grew up in Beaumont and went on to graduate in 2013 from West
  Brook High School, where he distinguished himself as a marksman in
  the JROTC program; at the time of his death, he was employed as a
  construction worker with Trans-Global Solutions and enjoyed a
  strong bond of camaraderie with his fellow crew members; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Russell spent his childhood traveling with his
  family and seeing the world, and as a young adult, he continued to
  live his life with a sense of adventure; his many pastimes included
  swimming, camping, fishing, racing his dirt bike, off-road mudding
  in his truck, and his greatest love of all, playing football; he had
  recently served as quarterback and receiver on a local alumni
  football team, the Hawks, and was warmly regarded by his coach and
  teammates alike; in addition, he took pleasure in singing and
  rapping, and he often liked to perform with his mother's group, My
  Beautiful Disaster; and
         WHEREAS, A talented and hardworking young man, Mr. Russell
  also possessed an infectious sense of humor that endeared him to a
  multitude of friends wherever he went, and he went above and beyond
  to bring laughter and joy to others; cherished by his parents and
  his siblings, Brandon, Veronica, and Remingtyn, he was blessed to
  be surrounded by the love of numerous grandparents, uncles, aunts,
  and cousins as well; and
         WHEREAS, Landon Russell's kindness, generosity, and
  larger-than-life personality made a profound impression on the
  hearts of many people, and although he is deeply missed, he will
  always be remembered with great tenderness and affection; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Landon Joseph
  Russell and extend sincere condolences to all those who mourn his
  passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Landon
  Russell.
