R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Yolanda Villarreal and the staff of Medical Plaza
  Pharmacy have contributed to the health and well-being of Corpus
  Christi residents for more than 16 years; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Edinburg, Ms. Villarreal graduated from
  Mission High School, and she earned her professional degree from
  The University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1975; over the course
  of her 42 years as a registered pharmacist, she has worked at the
  Veterans Hospital in Reno, Nevada, and The University of Texas
  Medical Branch in Galveston, and she has been assistant director of
  pharmacy at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston, director of pharmacy
  at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, and pharmacist-in-charge for
  the 23rd Medical Military Detachment in Wildflecken, Germany,
  during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Villarreal opened Medical Plaza Pharmacy in
  November 2000, and today, the business offers a full range of
  services, including medication therapy management, clinical
  medication synchronization, and complete medication reviews for
  patients needing chronic care management; and
         WHEREAS, The pharmacy also benefits from the expertise of
  Ms. Villarreal's husband, Dr. J. A. Villarreal, and from the
  dedicated efforts of longtime employees Leticia Treadway, John
  Charo, Marsha Smith, and Yolanda Flores, all of whom have worked for
  Medical Plaza Pharmacy for more than 10 years; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Villarreal and her staff provide their
  customers with skilled and compassionate service, and they may
  indeed take great pride in the positive role they play in the
  community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Yolanda Villarreal and the staff of
  Medical Plaza Pharmacy for their many years of service to Corpus
  Christi and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Villarreal and her staff as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
