R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Texans everywhere are indebted to the men and women
  of the law enforcement profession, for by their selfless devotion
  to the public welfare, they enable us to enjoy the benefits of a
  peaceful and orderly society; and
         WHEREAS, Too seldom recognized, and sometimes taken for
  granted by the public they so faithfully serve, these gallant
  individuals daily risk their lives in order to ensure domestic
  tranquility and to protect the lives and property of others; and
         WHEREAS, Deputy Constable Jeffrey Emmons Radford of the Bell
  County Constable's Office exemplified in his personal and
  professional conduct the singular virtues of courage, integrity,
  and steadfast resolve, and throughout his five years, one month on
  the force, his meritorious service embodied the highest ideals of
  his vocation; and
         WHEREAS, Killed in the line of duty on October 28, 2015,
  Deputy Radford will long be missed by his family, his fellow peace
  officers, and the entire community; and
         WHEREAS, Though his life ended far too soon, Deputy Radford
  left behind a record of public service that is deserving of his
  fellow citizens' lasting respect and gratitude; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Deputy Constable
  Jeffrey Emmons Radford and extend deepest sympathy to his
  relatives, friends, and fellow officers; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Deputy
  Constable Jeffrey Emmons Radford.
