R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Chase Nalley was sworn in as a deputy of the Tyler
  County Sheriff's Office on March 6, 2017; and
         WHEREAS, A Tyler County native, Chase Nalley graduated from
  Woodville High School in 2005 and subsequently earned a bachelor's
  degree in government and political science from Sam Houston State
  University in 2010; he later returned to the county to pursue a
  career in law enforcement, and he completed the local police
  academy in December 2016; and
         WHEREAS, Sworn in by Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, Deputy Nalley
  is now set to uphold his solemn oath to advance the worthwhile
  mission of the sheriff's office, and his efforts are sure to be of
  great benefit to his fellow citizens; and
         WHEREAS, Chase Nalley has demonstrated an exceptional
  commitment to protecting the safety and welfare of the public, and
  he is indeed deserving of recognition as he takes on the challenges
  and opportunities of his new position; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Chase Nalley on being sworn in as a
  deputy of the Tyler County Sheriff's Office and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Deputy Nalley as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
